School of Business and Industry (SBI)

The School of Business and Industry is a four-year accelerated honors program offered separately from the public school curriculum. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 with honors classes. Activities include peer leadership, mediation training, stock market simulations, a team teaching set-up with local business leaders on topics related to the workforce, writing a business plan, actually setting up and managing a small business, courses on financial markets, personal finance and investing.

 

This is an accelerated honors program from grades 9 – 12 offered in addition to the public school curriculum. Students must apply for acceptance and parents must sign a contract of support. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA with honors classes.

The program is held at the John Harris campus.

 

The SBI program has been in existence for over 20 years. The program is a partnership with Florida A & M University. Ninety-seven percent of the graduates go on to college and most all receive scholarships. Program Stats
