In 2014, the Foundation launched a special program to recognize outstanding teachers in the district. These teachers are nominated by students, parents and colleagues for their contribution to improving the lives and education of our students.

 

One teacher from the elementary level, middle school level and high school level are selected by a panel of judges for this award.  Generous sponsors provide additional funds for the teachers of the year to use in their classroom.
